Kernel Source

Halo,
when I download libsigc++, the instruction manual says to verify that the kernel sources are installed, does anyone know they are refering OS kernel sources or the program's source code?
newbie question, how do I install inux kernel source that I am running in my computer? I have RH WS3 and comes with 3 source code CDs, but I just did the up2date through Redhat network and I think the kernel version is upgraded too. so can I still install the original 3 source code CDs or what should I do now...

Thanks

Take a look at /usr/src/linux (it's a symlink to /usr/src/linux-2.x.x, where 2.x.x is your kernel version). This is your kernel source directory. If it doesn't exist then you must install it either from CDs, or if you upgraded your kernel from your distro's site.
