Hi, I am new to linux and I am wondering how you can edit, modify and otherwise customize the kernel in redhat 9 because I pretty much got into linux for its full customizability and i have the source code but am, wondering about a good resource of commands used for the kernel and how you edit it, and proceed to patch it. as well i am wondering what kinds of things you can change by customizing a kernel so any references to a good resource on kernels would be great as well as any direct help would also be appreciated.

there's a kernel modifier thing on the setup cd's you can install. never messed with it though, should check it out.
