Kernel panic on shutdown - Modul-Problems?

I'm using hpt374.ko as Highpoint RAID Controllerdriver and the madwifi for my wireless card.
The Problem is, that sometimes (perhaps every 10th shutdown) I get a kernelpanic after "Remounting remaining filesystems readonly..."! It's just bevor the computer should power off - but it hangs...

You can see a "screenshot" ;-) here:

The interesting thing is: Which module triggers this error? Is it the RAID oder the WLAN? And any suggestions about why?

Thanks for any hint...

It sure looks like the hpt374 module based on that crash log.

Just a guess, but maybe somebody forgot a kernel lock in that module and it dies if the modules happens to get preempted... you could always try disabling pre-emption support and see if it still crashes.

seems like to me if the umount command has the -r flag
then there is no need for the
"Remounting remaining filesystems readonly..."! at all
