Angry Kernel Panic aic7xxx

I am using RH 7.2. It was working fine, suddenly today morning I see an error on the console and the system is totally HUNG. I had to do a Hard reboot.

Error on Console:

Kernel panic: aic7xxx: unrecoverable BRKADRINT

Intrrupt handler - not syncing

AIC7xxx is a driver for an Adpatec SCSI card.

I would suggest recompiling your kernel and taking out support for that driver, unless of course, you need it.

If you do need it, what kernel version are you using?

I had once one of these, I have an Adaptec card to which I connect my SCSI scanner, one morning I unplugged the scanner and tried to boot, because the driver was built into kernel it wouldn't boot with kernel panic, and actually this particular morning I was planning on re-compile the kernel b/c of the fresh install, as soon as I plugged my scanner back on I boot it and get new kernel and compiled it with aic7xxx compiled as pluggable module, so whenever I unplug my scanner the module don't get inserted and I am able to proceed, but frankly enough I haven't turned off the machine once since I compiled 2.4.20 kernel, so in theory it should work, in practice I should bring the system down.
So the question is do you have an Adaptec card, and is there anything that connected to it?
