kernel information


I never build my kernel myself but i want to ask information about all options that are currently on. Where can i find this?

To list some simple stuff you could do a
uname -a

To get a list of the current modules loaded do a

other options are passed on the command line, so will either be in the grub menu.list or lilo.conf files.

THere is more but thats the basics. What exactly are you after?

Also /sbin/lspci may help to choose proper drivers for your hardware
