Kernel and icache question

Hi,
I am working in the kernel and I have a question related to running code within the internal cache. I hope this is the right forum.

Hi,
I have a situation where I need to guarantee that a specific piece of code is executed within icache. How can I do that? Is there some way to tell Linux to tell the processor to execute this code in icache? I assume the icache is enabled.

Thanks,
Steve

I doubt it.
Some more info (from the OP) would be useful - I don't understand "internal cache" in relation to instruction execution. Where I come from the icache is hardware - it's where instructions are decoded.
Intel has several good papers on their site re icache, dcache and pipelining.
