Kernel 2.6.5 Compile Error unexpected EOF

Are you using the kernel source from your distro, or are you using the one from kernel.org? If youre using the latter, it looks like a bug to me. Try downloading the 2.6.6 and try that.

yes, debian sarge's kernel. i've installed a couple of patches on it. hmmm. i'll install it patch by patch, and see if there is a compile error (the error is early)

What I meant was download the full 2.6.6 kernel source from kernel.org, that should be a little more reliable.
