kernel 2.6.0 problems

Ok i finally got 2.6 installed and i can boot to it but i get A LOT of these QM_modules errors? anyon eknow what this means?

U need rustys module-init-tools.
Google for it and d'load the latest version and install

do i install this before or after i install the kernel?

You better install that before you install new kernel.

There are significant changes in 2.6 over 2.4, including moving some features to userspace and ide-scsi is still there but redundant for example.

definately worth reading up on a summary of the differences

I installed module-init-tools AFTER I installed the 2.6.0 kernel. Am I going to have any problems because of that?

I also installed module-init-tools AFTER I installed and compiled kernel 2.6.0 in Gentoo and haven't had any problems. One thing I did learn is that ide-scsi doesn't work too well with 2.6, for a cd-writer you should use the boot argument ide-cd and change your fstab file accordingly.
