Question kernel 2.2 and Mandrake 8.1?

does anyone know how to install kernel 2.2 instead of 2.4 using the Mandrake 8.1 cd? i know its possible- ive done it before but had i to reinstall it for another reason, but i never got kernel 2.2 back. (2.4 crashes on my machine for some reason)

Try booting CD2. I haven't tried it but, from what I understand, that will give you additional choices, including kernel 2.2
