Keeping Keyring unlocked in Fedora 8 for NetworkManager

I use Fedora 8 on my laptop; NetworkManager stores the secret for my wireless network in the Gnome Keyring. Every time I start the computer or resume it from hibernate, it prompts me to enter the keyring password.

Various things I've read suggest that the gnome-keyring-pam RPM in combination with the default settings supplied by Fedora in /etc/pam.d/gdm should ask for the keyring password once at login, and then keep it unlocked after that, but I haven't been able to get this to work.

I've also tried a similar approach, using the pam_keyring module, but I've read that this RPM is no longer under active development because gnome-keyring-pam is now the preferred method.

Can anyone suggest where I'm going wrong?

Regards
David Gee
