kdm wont restart after end session

First..

slack 10.1
kde 3.3
kernel 2.6.17.11

My system starts in runlevel 4 so X will start automatically. Everything goes fine until I end the session. After that kdm wont restart and it just sits there. i have to manually run kdm or do init 3 and then init 4 again. I get this error in the /var/log/kdm.log

_XSERVTransSocketOpenCOTSServer: Unable to open socket for inet6
_XSERVTransOpen: transport open failed for inet6/pfox:0
_XSERVTransMakeAllCOTSServerListeners: failed to open listener for inet6

Does anyone have any ideas about this. When I first turned it on it worked fine and i got that blue graphic background. now I get black background and this. Anyone have any ideas about this one? Thanks for any help..

I had to do this:

Quote:
kde crashes:

change: /opt/kde/share/config/kdm/kdmrc.
you have to add following to the section [X-:*-Core]
TerminateServer=true
basically with my ATI driver, in slackware, suse or ubuntu with kde on top, logging out, x crashed.

this fix above worked for me.

backup file first
