"i didn't do ant kde upgrades, not that i remember"
KDM is part of KDE. "i installed KDM Theme manager 0.9.1 from .rpm, because it was needed for some themes for KDM, and, surprise surprise : when i try to launch it from control panel, i get . . ." Was the rpm compiled to run on SuSE 9.3? If not you should back the rpm out and either install a rpm for SuSE or else compile the KDM theme manager from a tarball. As an alternative: The theme manager is a GUI used to edit /etc/opt/kde3/share/apps/kdm/themes. You could try editing /etc/opt/kde3/share/apps/kdm/themes using a text editor. ---------------------- Steve Stites |
10x about the path to find kdm...as for the rpm, i'll try to find one for suse, because most(95%) of the apps i have as source code do NOT compile and give me errors.dunno why...like autoconf and automake missing although i have the newest ver, unexplainable errors.don't know what's happening around my comp.maybe the gcc compiler broke??it all seems all right in YaST.
