KDM Login Screen

CentOS 5:

I can't configure the KDM login screen to display multiple users. I've been using KDM for years and never had a problem before.

Control Center -> System Administration -> Login Manager

Go to Administrator Mode
Click on "Users" tab, check desired users under "Select Uers" and check "Show List." Click on "Apply."

What am I missing? At least, where are the configuration files?

The configuration files for kdm on CentOS 5.0 are at /usr/share/config/kdm/kdmrc. The problem is that CentOS 5.0 is using gdm. You can configure gdm with gdmsetup.

I found kcontrol which is supposed to configure kdm. But a lot of stuff doesn't work - but some of it does.

Also, the menu has two options for "Login Screen" - one points to gnome-gdmsetup and the other gdmsetup. The former doesn't work (doesn't exist), and although gdmsetup says it provides a face pager, it doesn't work either.
