Question kdevdesigner Help! "QPainter::begin: Cannot paint null pixmap"

I installed KDevelop3 4:3.2.0-1 on my Xandros 3 open circulation edition (Please don't laugh! I lost my hard drive with my debian installation that I had customized for 3 years so I installed xandros just to get running quickly again.) and when I try to start kdevdesigner I get this, and I googled for it and could not figure anything out

Code:
lawrence@Lawrence:~$ kdevdesigner %i %m -caption "%c"
QPainter::begin: Cannot paint null pixmap
QPainter::setPen: Will be reset by begin()
KCrash: Application 'kdevdesigner' crashing...
kdevelop3 seems to run okay but I cannot figure out kdevdesigner. any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have the same problem.

everytime i run kdevdesigner or kdevassistant, i get

Quote:
flodd@linux:~$ kdevassistant
QPainter::begin: Cannot paint null pixmap
QPainter::setPen: Will be reset by begin()
KCrash: Application 'kdevassistant' crashing...
kdevelop3 runs, but has some problems creating a new project:
KDevelop says that it is not a valid project file because of any tag mismatch in xml code

my system is a debian sarge/sid
i installed the kdevelop3.2 deb-packages from http://www.pci.uni-heidelberg.de/tc/...velop/unstable

it's bug in directory names: kdevassistant and kdevdesigner looks for pics in , but they are installed in /usr/share/apps/kdevelop3/pics.
So, just login as root, cd to /usr/share/apps directory and create symlink to kdevelop3 named kdevelop:
# ln -s kdevelop3 kdevelop
