rogere LQ Newbie Registered: May 2004 Location: Nova Scotia Canada Distribution: SuSe 10.0 Posts: 25 Rep:	Kdesktop attributes I have just installed Mepis with KDE 3.2. All the attributes for HDA and floppy are set for "Can view contents only" If I try to chsnge this to allow writing (even in root) I get the Kdesktop window that says "Changing the attributes of files is not supported by protocol devices". How can I change the permissions?? "
