KDENLiVE SDL sound error

Hello, all. I am getting an error in KDENLiVE whenever I load a project. The error is "SDL failed to open audio: No available audio device," and I get no sound for either the clips or the project.

It used to work fine, and Audacity still works fine too. I have gone in to the Settings>Playback menu and selected the ALSA driver and the correct sound card, but I still get the error. I have checked and all of my SDL libraries seem to still be present.

It probably bears mentioning that I just installed an EVGA NVidia GT 610 video card which has the HDMI output (which I am not using), but I'm not sure why that would matter since I have already gone into the settings to select the original, on-board sound card specifically.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
