Hallo.
I just installed Kdenlive 0.81 on my Kubuntu distro, and I find it wonderful, easyer then Cinelerra and more powerful than Kino, so.. Optimum compromise.
Unfortunately, when I try to render my videos (in both AVI and MPEG4) I get a message that (for example, for MPEG4) "libmp3lame codec is not supported", or something like that. Which is strange, because avery other multimedia application is working just fine.
I googled around and I already tried all the usual suggestion:
- Re-running the configuration wizard
- tried re-installing libmp3lame (well, actually the package name is libmp3lame0, I hope it's ok)
- tried re-installing libav
- tried reinstalling ffmpeg as a whole
Nothing worked.
Is there some parameter to be set in some configuration menu to force Kdenlive to look for codecs in the proper directories?
I read also that sometime it is just a false alarm, and that from version 0.9 on there is the possibility to skip the codec check and force the rendering even with the error message. Unfortunately, I couldn't find this version in the standard reps. Anybody knows where I could find it?
Thank you very much
