kdelibs4-dev and kdelibs5-dev on same PC?

Hi,
I am not too experienced so please apologize question if this is basic knowledge... (I am running Kubuntu 9.04 w/ KDE4)

I am trying to compile program which require kdelibs4-dev. When I install it in Adept kdelibs5-dev gets automatically removed.

Is there any way how to keep both version at the same time? If yes, do I need to pass any parameter to ./configure to select right libraries?

Thanks, David

It seems impossible to keep them both installed, I admit.

But there is a way of keeping the packages in /var/cache/apt/archives/
so you don't have to download the packages, when switching from
one set of libraries to the other.

Synaptic > Preferences > Preferences > > "Files" :

Tick the sentence "Keep all downloaded files in the cache"

Then Synaptic or apt-get can take care of the switch in a few seconds,
when needed.
