In SuSE 9.0, I've done quite a few changes with networking lately, and all of a sudden it spawns lot of slave socks when I start browsing the net with conqueror. The machine freezes if I don't stop it in time. What have I let loose?
I get a lot of TCP-misses in the squid access log, and Opera reports umpteen gets and wait for user cycles. In Konqueror the percentage bar goes up and down.
