kde4.2, I accidentally removed something from my panel and don't know how to get it..

Hello,

Not sure how to explain my problem but here goes:
Using KDE4.2 I started a program and you know how there appears a 'button' in the task bar that lets you either minimise or maximise the running program? well, I removed that accidentally (did not even know that could be removed) and now I can't see what programs I have open unless I press 'alt + tab'.

does anyone know what this is called and more important, how to get it back?

tried right clicking on the panel and went through all options but no luck.

Regards
Ron

At least in KDE 3.5.X, it's called the "taskbar". Rt-click on the panel ---> Add Applet--->Taskbar

On 4.2, it's called a "widget" and (if you have the bottom bar showing at all) there should be a "bean" at the far right-hand side that you can click. Left-click that, select "Add widgets,' and add the "task manager" widget back into the panel. Note that, if you select the "Panel settings" menu item, you can move the location of the taskbar (after you add it) to be wherever you want it to be.

Oh, if you somehow removed the whole panel, right-click on the screen and select the "add panel" item. That will create a new panel for you (at the top of the screen, but you can move it to wherever to wan it located.) Then you'll need to add any widgets you want (task manager, application launcher, etc.) to the panel.
