KDE virtual desktops
I have configured my desktop such that I have 2 virtual desktops, let's call them #1 and #2
I would like to arrange it so that, when I am in #1, only the applications in #1 appear in the panel ('minimized') and when I am in in #2, only the applications in #2 appear in the panel. How can I do this? KDE 3.3.0 Suse 9.2 |
Go to Panel properties and uncheck the option "Show windows of all virtual desktops"
The translations may be wrong, since I am now using german translation of kde. |
It's either in Configure Desktop (right click on desktop) or Configure Taskbar (right click on taskbar). In one of those config boxes there should be something like "Keep iconized windows separate" or "Show only windows for this desktop" or something similar.
Unfortunately I do not have my KDE desktop in front of me. Let us know if you need the exact info, and I can look it up. It shouldn't be too hard to find. |

I 've looked at all these Configure pages and I don't see it.
I must be looking for the wrong thing. |
Just click on the little arrow left to the window list and choose properties. (3rd menu item)

The 3rd menu item is "Configure Taskbar..."\ but what I'm looking for is there. I unchecked "Show windows from all desktops" and i get what i want. Thanks. |
