Kde style's crash GTK apps *firefox* (suse 9.3)
Hi.
I wanted to use a certain kde style (Baghira), but it crashes GTK apps...Firefox mainly. I think Suse uses something, that tries to use kde styles on gtk programs...and thats causing the problem. How can I disable this? Thanks. -RoaCh |
Lol, figures..I already fixed it. It uses a qt-gtk engine thing. I recompiled it from source and all is well.
One other question though...on my desktop, for some reason, tooltips now have a darkred background (like my color scheme)..but the text inside the tooltip is black..so I can't read it. How can I change this? |

You may need to install a newer version of gtk-qt theme engine.

Download the newest source and compile it. It'll put a little option in your KDE cpanel too :). That fixes it though...for me atleast. |
gtk-qt theme engine
Thanks for all the infomation, I just upgraded to SuSE 9.3 and Firefox and Thunderbird were totally broken. The 'gtk qt theme engine' fixed the mozilla related problems.
