KDE screwed itself when I installed a new iconset...
...and now it won't even startup/load...I'm pretty darn sure this is because of the iconset, which was from kde-look.org and was, I thought, a good, working iconset. But KDE crapped on itself, and now when I start KDE the little bootsplash thing flickers and then the whole thing goes gray. Is there any file I can edit that controls the icons, and thereby restore it (hopefully) to how it was? Thanks for ANY help.

I didn't put it in any directory, I installed it using Kcontrol -> Icons. It was Gartoon v1.3, and I installed it from a .tar.bz2 (no compile, just install as is from the Icon Manager.

first, i have nothing creative and intelligent to say.
oh! wait! i have a reason!
you might have a problem with your X setup, so it might depend on your RAM and your video card. or there is just a bug in the installer. either way, you can sue the artist for about $10,000,000,000,000.

whatever...
I gleaned something from the output of trying to launch a KDE program from a console, which talks about the KIconLoader and how its not working.../me investigates

that makes your options
a)sue artist
b)assassinate artist
c)embrace windows (not reccomended)
d)all of the above
because i don't know how to reinstall KDE without manually removing packages
