KDE Performance Adjusting

When I first installed KDE I remember seeing a tab that let me adjust the performance to go in-sync with my machine, so as to not overload the processor. I left it but now I want to turn it down a bit, does anyone know how to do this?

Mine is under the start thingy, then settings, then desktop settings wizard.

I'm using Gentoo so I'm not sure if it is the same thing on your distro. It is something to look for though.

Hope that helps.
