KDE - modify right click rename
If necessary I can explain why, but would like to set default rename option in KDE right click menu to append "copy of" in front of <file> instead of adding "n+1" or"-1" or "_1" to the end of <file>.
I have searched KDE forums but no luck. Any ideas? Thanks |
what are you using to rename ?
i use "kRename" that is very customizable in the default window change "$" to " copy.of.$" in the Templates |
Yes have used krename but generally use it to batch rename. However i don't have it installed at the moment. Am assuming KDE right click menu "rename" accesses "mv" or "cp" command and just adds n+1 to the filename, but i use a lot of numbers in filenames and adding a numeral to the name adds to confusion.
Adding "copy of" to front of file would stick out like sore thumb which is what I want. Will install krename and give it a go but would be nice to just do it from context menu. |
on my opensuse 12.2 kde4 install krename is on the r-click menu
