KDE Menu Problems

I have a few questions regarding KDE. I am running the KDE Window Manager on Fedora Core Two. I have noticed when I install an application using RPM it will place two icons on the KMenu. Here is a screenshot of what I mean.

I am running the latest Kernel (2.6.9-1.3_FC2) and would like to fix this problem. I have tried to use Menu Editor to fix this problem and I do save my changes and it still fails to work! I logged in as root and tried the menu editor it worked but only on roots account and not my account. Any suggestions?

Seems the KdeMenuEdit is buggy in KDE R.3.2.1 Is that the version of KDE you're running? Upgrade to >3.3.x is the fix.
