KDE Menu Items
In the, for example, 'Internet' section of the KDE menu, I'd have 'Mozilla,' which would, however, be displayed as 'Web Browser (Mozilla).'

Within KDE Menu Editor it would be called 'Mozilla;' KDE adds the words 'Web Browser' so is it possible to remove those extra words? I see no ability to do so in Menu Editor, apart from simply re-adding the items (obviously that would take too long to re-add every single item).

Yes it's possible to remove them. What you are seeing is the item name with the description. Simply go into the Control Center, then Desktop, then Panels. Under the Menu's tab, you'll see 3 listings: Name, Name (Description), Description (Name). Just choose the Name option and Ok it and you should be golden. Let me know if you have any problems or questions!
