KDE Little Black Cursor

In KDE Control Centre there is an option under "Mouse" to give the mouse a Larger and/or White cursor. As I use a monitor with a native 1280x1024 resolution, this would be useful. Whenever I set the mouse for Large White cursor, it only does it for the next KDE session, after that it reverts to small black!

It's obviously a bug, in that a file probably needs to be changed that is not, or another file is being altered on exit which should not be. Anyone know how to retain the Large White cursor?

DAVE

PS I tried a program called xmus (supposed to make the mouse have a new form) which did not work...
