KDE like GNOME
Maybe I'm off topic with this, but let me know something. I have installed Ubuntu linux (a nice distro) and was amazed at the fact that, when I plugged in my USB flash memory key. It automatically mounted and was shown on desktop to click on and open it. I thought it was a distro thing. But next, I tried FC3 test3 and discovered that it also does this with my USB key. Auto mounted and shown on desktop. Also auto unmounted. Which I really liked. So I thought, it was a kernel thing as both were using 2.6.8.1
However, I realized, that it was actually a GNOME thing. I tried the same thing in KDE under FC3 test3 and nothing happened. I had to mount it by myself. So I am wondering, this probably is a GNOME thing as Ubuntu was running GNOME too. Does anyone know how this works? I would really like a feature like this under KDE (i am more used to it). Is this really a GNOME thing or am I missing something?
Thanks!
