KDE Howto edit / add to menus
I have fedora and using the new KDE. How in god's name do you do something as simple as add to the menus. I have tried to use the -- K / Preferences / More Preferences / Menu Editor -- to no avail

Any help is appreciated.

Right Click on the the Big "K" in the bottom corner.

Select "Menu Editor".

Still NO Good
Thanks for the response. Unfortunately this works the same as the option I listed above. I make the change but it is not reflected in the menu.

I may be stating the obvious, but are you sure you went to File > Save to rewrite the config files after your modifications?

I File > Saved so many times that my index finger is mouse bruised. Any other thoughts.

Try running 'kappfinder', it should find a bunch of apps and add them automatically. As for entering them manually, are you sure you are duplicateing the format of the existing entries correctly? Make sure you find the 'exact' name of the binary you want to add, because it is not always the same as the 'common' name for the program.

Well I just tried adding an item myself, and as bpasdar stated, it does nothing. It might be a bug in kde 3.2. I'll go have a look around and see what I can find.
