KDE: Hiding panel windows between desktops?
I've been using KDE since I installed Mandrake 9.1 (my first linux installation). I used gnome the other day to see what it was like, and noticed a feature that made a lot of sense, but did not happen in KDE:
When switching between workspaces, not only did the windows from the previous workspace disappear, but their minimized panel windows also disappeared. In KDE, when I switch between desktops, the minimized panel windows remain, and are mixed in with windows I open in other desktops. Is there any way to make KDE act like GNOME in this regard? |
(In KDE 3.0) Right click the Panel -> Preferences, one of the 5 check box type options. Maybe the same in 3.1 :)

Ah-hah! I figured it out (just in case anyone else needs to know). It's very easy, I don't know how I missed it:
(In KDE 3.1) KDE Control Center > Look and Feel > Taskbar uncheck "Show windows from all desktops" (the first option on the screen). Thanks for your help, Proud. You pointed me in the right direction! |
No problem, glad to help. :)
