KDE/GNOME apps on other GUI

I was wondering if I could run KDE or Gnome apps on a different GUI. I'm using Vector Linux and have FluxBox, IceWM and XFCE. Please note if there are any special dependencies or programs that I would need or any other special instructions.

Yes, it will run. You will need to have qt libraries in order to run KDE programs and gtk in order to run Gnome applications. Chances are that, if you have the applications you want to run already installed (say Firefox or k3b) those libraries are most likely already installed...

You could just start Fluxbox (or any other Window/Desktop manager) and try to run a gtk/qt application. Nothing will explode on your PC

Note: Megaman X is not responsible in the case your PC explodes. This is a GNU advice, which comes without any guaranty whatsoever

xfce can also load GNOME and KDE services as well as their menus.

Thanks,

I'll check and see if I have qt, but I do know that I have GTK1 and GTK2.
