kde "dobra voda" kdm issues...

hi, i just installed xfce4 and am really tired of launching it from the console. i edited the kdmrc(i'm using KDM as a login manager) but in the list of available window managers there's just no xfce4!!! i located every single kdmrc on my machine and added xfce in SessionTypes. but nope! nothing changes!
any ideas what to do?

"any ideas what to do?"

Try logging in as root and go to kcontrol -> System Administration -> Login Manager -> Sessions -> Session Types.

"there's no such tab or submenu as Sessions in KControl "

It is at the top center of the page.

Wierd. On Fedora Core 1 I have Appearance, Font, Background, Sessions, Users, Convenience. I ran SuSE 8.2 until November and I think I remember Sessions as being where I described it.

The next place to look is in Yast. Perhaps SuSE moved the function to someplace in Yast.

"..this is 3.2 beta "dobra voda"."

Maybe you should report this as a bug.

I had another idea. When the KDE verssion and the Qt version are mismatched you can get wierd errors like missing buttons or unlabeled buttons. When you installed KDE 3.2 beta "dobra voda" did you also install the corresponding version of Qt?
