KDE Defaults to Konquror

Can someone please tell me why when I open a hyperlink in any application like Thunderbird, it (KDE) will not use my default web browser (Firefox 1.5) to resolve the hyperlink. It uses Konq.

Please help!

This probably isn't what you're looking for, but it couldn't hurt

$ kcontrol

KDE Components => Component Chooser => Web Browser

Select "in the following browser:" and type firefox.
