KDE can't autologin

I upgraded KDE from 3.2 to 3.5 through suse Yast a while back and it's had a few bugs in it ever since.

One bug that bothers me the most is I can't auto-login anymore. When I try to reset, it crashes.

here's the crash backtrace log if it helps

the output will be more user friendly to use if you.
Change runlevel to init 3
Alt+CTRL+F1
type
init 3

then type
startx

then change back to the Terminal Alt+CTRL+F1 to see what text was left Behind.
