KDE Bug: Enter Key cascades windows or switches desktop
This is my continued work on a problem my system is suffering from an earlier thread, but with a better title and a summary of what's gone on so far.
System: Dell Dimension running Debian testing/unstable (installed by Knoppix 3.3, but subsequently updated and such). Running KDE 3.1.4, with gnome 2.2 installed for things like Evolution. Problem: Approximately 1 in 10 times that I hit the "Enter" key, my windows will rearrange, similarly to if I had hit the "cascade" option on the desktop menu. Or the windows will be fine, but the system will switch to a different virtual desktop. Things that have alreayd been tried: Key shortcut daemons, different mouse (in case of stuck middle key), looking for mis-set shortcut keys. One interesting thing-- This problem occurs with either "Enter" key, AND with using an on-screen virtual keyboard- I can click and get the same result. What configuration could result in this? It's quickly killing my productivity, as windows and desktops going flying around or changing while I type. |
Anyone have any ideas?
