KDE apps fullscreen mode problem

Hi all,

I have a problem with some KDE multimedia applications like kaffeine and gwenview. The problem does not occur in kview though.

If I open an image in gwenview or a movie in kaffeine and switch to fullscreen view (by doubleclicking on it or by chosing the menu, it doesn't matter) it's ok, but if I switch back the program window is smaller than before. Every second or third time I have to resize the window manually again because it's getting way to small.
With kaffeine, if I change before that to "compact mode" the window resizing (besides the wanted and expected switch) doesn't occur.
Is this a bug with some kde apps? Can anyone confirm this or give a workaround/solution to this? It's not really damaging anything, but it is annoying ... Any help/suggestion is highly appreciated.

Thanks for reading,

titopoquito

Did you check in your Control Panel for anything that might be affecting Window focus/Window Sizing?
Cheers!

Thanks, I will check for that. Basically I am not running KDE but IceWM. I'll fire up kcontrol, although I cannot imagine that something like that should be given as a configure option!?

I cannot find anything in kcontrol but testet again in KDE (which I thought I had done before) and -- voilą -- the problem is gone. It looks like an incompatibility between IceWM and KDE apps, so I know where to look further.

You are right, changing things in kcontrol related to the WM will not change things in IceWM. Hope you find the problem. Cheers!
