Thumbs down KDE 4 weird issues with kickoff/kmenu

I've just installed KDE 4.2.4, and it seems to work quite fine. Except for the kickoff, kmenu, or whatever it is more exactly. When I'm trying to open the startmenu (kickoff?) for the first time, I just get blank boxes (see the screendump).

By changing this to "classic menu style", I partially get rid of the problem.

But there's still something weird happening here, and I don't understand what. Those blank boxes keeps coming on other places. For example when trying to "Run command", I get this blank crap again.

I've been googing a while after people that have the same problem, but of course, those kind of problems is rare so there's only questions without answers. I need help with this case, and I hope this thread leads somewhere, since I really like the new KDE Style. And I want to continue use it.

I did, and some of the functions started to work normally, but not all of them. So it's something more to do I think. I just wonder what...
