KDE 3.4 on SuSE 9.3 refuses to change KMenu icon
Hi,
Sorry if this is obvious or has been answered before, but I can't find an answer...at least, not one that works for me.
I just installed SuSE 9.3 with the SuSE-provided KDE 3.4 RPMs. I'm trying to change the kicker icon, but I can't get it to change.
The threads I've been able to find here and elsewhere say that I need to replace kmenu.png in the icon theme I'm using. I try that, and it still retains the SuSE logo.
I also found several SuSEmenu.png icons, but removing/replacing those also does not change the icon.
I even went as far as renaming the ??x?? directories, then restart the panel. While most of my other icons disappear, the SuSE logo is still there for the kicker.
This lead me to believe that SuSE isn't pulling that icon from the icon theme. To see, I downloaded an icon theme from kde-look.org, and installed and selected it. Again, all the icons change except the KMenu icon, which I know wasn't part of the theme.
So, the question is, where is SuSE keeping this icon, so I can replace it? And a side question is, why are they making it so freaking difficult to change?
