I am re-installing MythTV. I decided to rebuild my whole box because I was also upgrading the harddrive. I got most of the way through the installation (including Nvidia drivers, Apt, custom MythTV Kernel 2.4.22-1.2188 and ALSA). I was just running the apt-get install mythtv-suite command when I got an error that two files in two packages conflicted with two files in the MythTV install. I then ran apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade and apt installed KDE 3.2. Once KDE 3.2 was installed I rebooted and tried to log in again. X hangs just after KDE says it is up and running. The mouse still works and I can terminal/ssh into the box just fine but nothing else works. I can't press ctrl-alt-F1. I can't even click on the fedora hat. For MythTV to work I kinda need to be able to log in to X...... Any suggestions?
