KDE 3.1 on RH8?

ok, i'm currently on KDE 3.0.3 and i was wondering if there is any way to get KDE 3.1 for RedHat 8,..i was reading about KDE 3.1 and it seems you can install it in RedHat 7.3, so i was wondering if i could install it on 8.0. does anyone know this?

I just did it over the weekend, and it's pretty nice. Go << HERE >> to find out how.

You'll need Apt, if you don't already have it. Follow the Apt link to get the RPM. Then, just follow the simple install instructions.

I have a 256Kb cable access, and had it up and running in a couple hours.

Hmmm... I get a similar message. It doesn't seem to stop apt from working. I ran apt-get upgrade , and it found the new lokkit package that the Alert Notification said needed to be upgraded.

I searched Google for the message, but didn't find any answers.

You'll have to decide if you want to try the apt-get install kde .

log into root and go to /etc/apt/ and change the source to what it says in the FAQ. i used that and it works fine now.

Well, I didn't have to... It might have been a faulty file on the server, because it's all cleared up now.

Did you KDE?
