KDE 3.1.4 gar / konstruct OpenGL

Downloaded the konstruct-stable which links to KDE-3.1.4. Extracted the files, edited gar.conf.* and changed prefix to /usr (so that all the progs will be in my /usr/bin and not on some user's home dir),cd'd to meta, typed in make install.

It downloaded and installed all like planned. But no OpenGL app is working (screensavers and so on). What did I not do or what did I do wrong? And more importantly, what must I do to make it work? Using mdk9.1 with nVidia display drivers. Thanx in advance!

Type "glxgears" in an terminal window and post the output.
What video card do you have? Do you see an nvidia logo when X starts up?

Let me rephrase: No KDE OpenGL app is working. Everything else (glxgears, WarCraft III, Max Payne, GTA3, all non-KDE dependant OpenGl) is working. Help!
