KDE 3.1.4 and Mozilla Firebird
I just upgraded my KDE to 3.1.4 in SuSE 8.2 and Firebird is my browser of choice. After the upgrade, I noticed that the color for highlighting text changed from sky blue to a dark blue that reminds me of Windows 98. I also get the same dark blue color when I mouse over items in the drop down menus of File, View, Bookmarks, etc.
I've tried Firebird tools > options and KDE Control Center but still have not been able to change this color. I can change just about every color except the one I want. Anyone know how to do this? |

Firebird depends on GTK2+ themes and may be that is wat is happening with you here.
here is my .gtkrc-2.0 file that i copied from one of threads here in LQ. ------------------------------------------------------------ #gtk-font-name = "Bitstream Vera Sans 12" gtk-font-name = "Luxi Sans 12" # choose a theme: include "/usr/share/themes/Grand-Canyon/gtk-2.0/gtkrc" # include "/usr/share/themes/Metal/gtk-2.0/gtkrc" # include "/usr/share/themes/Mist/gtk-2.0/gtkrc" # include "/usr/share/themes/Smokey-Blue/gtk-2.0/gtkrc" # include "/usr/share/themes/ThinIce/gtk-2.0/gtkrc" ------------------------------------------------------------------ now i have "brown" colour when i highlight. just try changing themes as it is the most probable issue u have. |
