Kde 3.0.1 under Mand 9.0

i have install Mand. 9.0 on my laptop the well known omnibook 4500 HP (known for bugz..).
I have several problems the first bothers me, each time i'm under X and i do alt+ctrl+F7 to switch in the shell its freeze the computer, someone got an idea on it ? is it well known ?

That command would move you to the first X console. As you are already running X it's not going to do a whole lot, although I can't tell you why it's freezing your box. Try alt-ctrl-F1-6 instead.
