Hi,
I have kde 2.0.1 installed now. I got a cd with kde 2.1 on it from linux format yesterday. What i want to know, is there that much difference and is it worth upgrading from 2.0.1 to 2.1?

well it depends if you can be bothered to be quite honest. i noticed with mandrake 7.2 that the install can remove the funny icons at the bottom of the screen next to K button (although that;s just something that i wasn;t paying attention to probably)

2.1 is more stable than 2.0.1 and it also is more polished with bits that the developers hadn;t had time to put into the 2 release (you should have read that in the last issue [or the one before that one])

it depends if you can be bothered to do it or not. im going to because at the moment i haven't got it on at all!

Alex

P.S. its a bit of a kick ass magazine! :-)

thanks webtoe,
Think I will perhaps read some more about it and do the install this next weekend. You're right, it is a great magazine. This is the first time i have seen it, one of the others hear told me about it and i found it very helpful and informative.
