I'm using Kazaa Lite 1.72 under wine, needing six native DLLs (I really don't know if all are needed or not). Don't expect it runs flawlessly, prepare to see blank menu entries, lists not updated correctly, ugly fonts...... but, miracle, it works.
I just followed the instructions in Frank's corner page for Kazaa 2.00, that version didn't work, but... 1.72 does.
As the link that iceman posted didn't seem to really have any answers in it perhaps you can try looking here I know from personal experience that kazaa 2.0.0 works great under wine.
If you still have problems getting kazaa to run programs like qtella or gtkgnutella work well for finding audio files, and mldonkey or overnet are excellent for finding larger files like iso or movies. All of these programs run native in linux. Try them out.
Problem is, I can't find previous versions of Kazaa Lite anywhere! I'd be happy to use 2.0.0 or 1.7.2, but where can I download them? I simply can't find it.
