kate editor settings.

I cant find settings for kate selection process. During multiple line selection, kate adds pipe seperators between the text. Its distracting and i cant seem to find the solution. Would you please post some solution so i could solve it?

Hi and welcome to LQ.
Have you looked at the Working with the Selection section of the Kate section of the KDE Help Centre? The section you need begins like this:
There are two basic ways of selecting text in Kate: using the mouse, and using the keyboard.
To select using the mouse, hold down the left mouse button while dragging the mouse cursor from where the selection should start, to the desired end point. The text gets selected as you drag.
Just open up Kate and click on the Help menu. The first entry is Kate Handbook and that's the one you want.
