Exclamation Kali Linux - Metasploit Not A Service?

I'm trying to start up the services necessary to use the msf databases. It gives me a database error BUT IT DOES SAY IM CONNECTED!

service postgresql start; starts up okay
service metasploit start; metasploit isn't a service?

I start armitage and it tells me it's gonna start up a metasploit RPC server for me (msfrpcd) and I do it. Then the metasploit error goes away.

But why isn't metasploit being shown as a server??

Also I checked in my /opt directory, and I have no metasploit folder

Please help
