Kali Linux boot error: "nsc-ircc, Wrong chip version 00"
Hello, Linux users :)
I recently set up an ESXi virtual server on a Dell Poweredge 860, and made my first VM with Kali using the VMware Infrastructure Client on my desktop. The installation went fine, but I have this weird error that is preventing me from booting. I turn on the VM, select Kali in GRUB, and after a few seconds, I get this: "nsc-ircc, Wrong chip version 00". I haven't been able to find anything helpful online. Also, I am relatively new to Linux, so please try to keep your solution easy to execute.
Thanks!

The fact of the matter is, however, that Kali is a Linux distribution specifically geared towards professional penetration testers and security specialists, and given its unique nature, it is NOT a recommended distribution if you’re unfamiliar with Linux or are looking for a general-purpose Linux desktop distribution for development, web design, gaming, etc.
Why are you using Kali to start with?? It isn't good for general purposes and wasn't designed to be, and wasn't designed to be run in VMWare environment. What is your goal in running Kali (or Linux at all?)
