Question Kaffeine segfaults but xine works fine...

I have a Region 2 (Japan) DVD that constantly crashes Kaffeine 0.8.2 with signal 11 (segfault). It always happens when the copyright warning screen goes away and the actual contents begin to show up. Here's the error message from the command line:
KCrash: Application 'kaffeine' crashing...
kaffeine: Fatal IO error: client killed
ICE default IO error handler doing an exit(), pid = 14956, errno = 104
Interestingly, the exact same DVD disk plays just fine on the same computer, using Xine 0.99. My understanding is that Kaffeine uses Xine libraries, so this inconsistency kinda baffles me.

Any idea what could be happening?

The OS is CentOS 4.4, running KDE 3.5.5.

Thanks in advance!

Weird things are happening. I copied the DVD in question using dvdbackup and growisofs. Now, the copied version works just fine with Kaffeine as well as Xine. I did run "yum update" to update some components from the dries repo, so that could have done it if the media wasn't the issue. I should probably try the original disc to see if I still get the crash.

Thanks anyway, guys!
